Opening Ceremonies
Mural Amphitheater at Seattle Center
Opening Ceremonies at the Mural Amphitheater on the grounds of Seattle Center sits in the shadow Seattle's most recognizable symbol -- the Space Needle.
Seattle Center holds a special place in the history of Seattle. It is the 72-acre urban park and entertainment center that hosted the 1962 World's Fair. The Space Needle was constructed as the centerpiece of the event.
Over the years, Seattle Center has benefited from numerous improvements -- and to this day helps define Seattle's urban identity.
